Seven years ago, I embarked on a journey of reinventing myself. I enrolled myself in the UP Open University and took up Master of Arts in Education major in Language and Literature Education. I figured that, after sending Rap to a big school, it was the perfect time for me to continue my education. I had a great time homeschooling him that it inspired me to take up my Masters.
So anyway, I breezed through my online Masters study for 2 and a half years and earned 36 units. I'm only short of 6 units, my thesis, before I am granted the degree. Sad to say, I haven't finished it until now. I was thinking of going back to the University and ask advice on how to finish my thesis. I'm sure they'll have me take a penalty course to make up for all the lost time. But I'm too busy with my work now that I don't think I can find time to finish my thesis.
It also crossed my mind that I may not even be able to use my Masters degree anymore since I already shifted careers from teaching to publishing. A friend suggested that I take an online business degree instead but I'm still keen on finishing what I started. All of this will happen, I believe, in God's perfect time.
